One of my deviantART friends asked if I captured the Aston Martin DBRS9 making its official debut on Australian soil. How could I not?
John Kaias races the car, which has only recently arrived from Europe. It was apparently the very car that took the British GT title last year. On its first outing here, race results of 4-4-3 for the round aren’t to be sneezed at. It’s only going to get faster as the team learns more about how to set it up.

More action from Queensland Raceway’s round of the Australian GT Championship in late May. This one features Australia’s second favourite Dane, Allan Simonsen. Apparently some Tasmanian by the name of Mary is our favourite (at least in the gossip mags, anyway).
As for Mr Simonsen, he’s based in Oz, but travels the world more than is comprehensible; Australian GT, British GT, FIA GT, Le Mans 24 Hour……….

While I was pondering which Lambo shots to edit and upload I got little sidetracked and decided to do another few. This one features David Wall in his 996 911 GT3 heading Allan Simonsen’s Ferrari F360GT and the Aston Martin DBRS9 of John Kaias at Queensland Raceway’s round of the Australian GT Championship.

We’re heading back to May now, at Queensland Raceway’s round of the Australian GT Championship.
This is quite rare for me; a completely untouched (aside from some cropping) image of action from QR. Unusually I felt the background didn’t let the side down…
