The Pope Manufacturing Company automobile business, located in Hartford, Connecticut, lasted only from 1904 to 1914 and went into receivership three times. Their reputation as a solidly
built car is said to have helped them last financially as long as they did. Annual production never exceeded 726 vehicles.
1911 production saw 693 vehicles produced.
